Alhambra students to present at ADE conference in Tucson

Students from Alhambra's Integrated Technologies department - Software Development classes I and II, have been accepted, based on their interactive technology submissions, to present at the Arizona Department of Education’s Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) conference in Tucson in November.  The conference/exhibition showcases the products and progress of students from Title I (low income student) schools.

“The spirit of this conference is “Creation of Interactive Art using Technology.”  Our students have been writing software ideas across the spectrum from interactive art, to teaching tools, to art games and many more,” teacher Clayton Jones said.  “The kids are going to be thrilled to hear that their project submissions were accepted.”

ESSA, which replaced No Child Left Behind, through Title I, strives to provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable and high-quality education, and close educational achievement gaps.
