Metro Tech Film Students Get 2nd Place in Video Contest

The Association for Career Technical Education of Arizona (ACTEAZ) hosted a Video Contest for CTE students to promote Career and Technical Education. Students were asked to create a video public service announcement (PSA) to support CTE Month by increasing awareness and understanding of the benefits of CTE. This year’s CTE Month theme was “Discover CTE: Discover Your Possibilities!”

Two digital filmmaking students from Metro Tech High School (Diego De Jesus Escobedo Guzman and Kevin Covarrubias Guerrero) finished 2nd place in the contest. Their video will be shown and publicized through ACTEAZ media outlets throughout the year, and it will screen at the 2019 Arizona CTE Summer Conference.

“We were very excited to see [their] video and the creativity and skill used to create it," said Curt Bertelsen, ACTEAZ President
