Maryvale's Bella Voce Choir "Wows" Judges

Maryvale’s Advanced Bella Voce Women’s Choir participated in the Arizona Choral Educators (ACE) Fall High School Choir Festival November 2,  and received a “Superior” rating, earning an overall score of 94/100.   The Bella Voce Women’s Choir was created during the 2016-2017 school year and has received “Superior” and “Gold” ratings at every competition they have attended.

 

This choir has also participated in none-rated festivals at Phoenix College and Chandler Gilbert Community College. and 10 out of the 13-member choir were accepted into the district honor choir which took place on Oct. 26-27.  Bella Voce will also be competing in the NAU Jazz/Madrigal festival on February 9th and in Washington DC on March 30th. 

 

Five of the singers are original Bella Voce members celebrating their third competition season with the choir--Deanna Holguin, Erica Holguin, Elizabeth Lopez Dominguez, and Alyssa Mitchell.

Amanda Taylor, a Maryvale alumnus, is the choir director.
