Selina Alonzo has had a busy September.  She was named a Champion of Change, and traveled to the White House to be honored by the President’s Commission for Educational Excellence for Hispanic Education earlier in the month, and September 21-23 she was in New York City as a guest of NBC’s Teacher Town Hall, which aired on MSNBC, September 23.  It was part of the network’s annual three-day Education Nation Summit that brought together over 300 thought leaders representing education, government,  business, philanthropy and media.  Alonzo was one of eight people on the panel during the two-hour live broadcast.
