PUHSD Schools Get Visits from National Basketball Hall of Famers

Betty Fairfax, North and Carl Hayden High Schools had visits from National Basketball Hall of Famers, Suns and Mercury players Friday, September 21 to hear a Stay in School message at assemblies.  The seniors also participated in a senior college expo, meeting college representatives.   The visits were arranged by the First Impressions Foundation and organizers of the Jerry Colangelo Basketball Hall of Fame Golf Classic that took place Sept. 19-21.  Seniors were also entered to win giveaways, including having their college application fee paid by First Impressions. Hall of Famer Ralph Sampson and Tim Kempton were at North, Harlem Globetrotter legend Meadowlark Lemon and Eddie Johnson went to Carl Hayden and Hall of Famer Elgin Baylor and Ann Meyers visited Betty Fairfax.
