The Falcon Robotics team attended the AUVSI North American Conference, August 8-9.  AUVSI stands for the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International. The team   showcased their recent Autonomous Underwater Vehicle, or AUV, which competed at the organization’s RoboSub event in San Diego in July.   Carl Hayden was the only high school present in a field of colleges invited to attend and display their AUVs. The conference featured hundreds of organizations and corporations that are involved in the autonomous vehicle industry. The team received much praise for their work and they received a very special visit from Admiral Matt Klunder, the Chief of Naval Research at the Office of Naval Research in Arlington, Virginia.
