PUHSD Scholarship Counts

Phoenix Union’s mission is “Preparing every student for success in college, career and life.”  The college-going numbers have been going up every year, as have the scholarship totals.  Seniors in the Class of 2012 from the 11 comprehensive schools earned over $39 million in merit and athletic scholarships, not including millions more in financial aid and grants.  It was the highest total ever for the District.  Last year, $24 million was offered, and for the class of 2010, $14 million was the scholarship amount.  In 2010, 2,225 graduates entered an Arizona college or university in the fall after graduation, an increase of 365 more than 2009 and 505 more than 2008.
