The ASU Hispanic Mother-Daughter program held its 28th annual awards ceremony, May 7 and Phoenix Union was well represented. PUHSD currently has 150 students in the program, not including the many participants who are now attending ASU or other secondary education opportunities. The ASU Hispanic Mother Daughter Program (HMDP) raises educational and career aspirations of Hispanic women. HMDP increases the number of first-generation Hispanic women who complete a bachelor’s degree by directly involving mothers in the educational process of their daughters.
