Phoenix Union’s celebration of the spoken word, Poetry Central, takes place at ASU Downtown May 3.  This annual event brings the District’s best poets and creative writing teachers together for a day of workshops with professional writers and poets, poetry readings from students and guest writers, and an awards presentation for the winning poems and their creators.  This year, two of   Phoenix Union’s own will be guest poets-- Keith Brazier, an assistant principal at Camelback, who is a published poet, motion picture screenplay writer, television script writer and science teacher and Central High School English teacher Mark Williams, who has two published novels and is authoring another currently.
