Metro Tech Students Win Culinary Scholarships

Four Metro Tech students won C-CAP (Careers through Culinary Arts Program) scholarships worth over $100,000 to culinary schools.  Oscar Sanchez won a bachelor’s program full ride to the Culinary Art Institute at Hyde Park, NY, valued at $96,000.  Petra Fierra won at $2500 scholarship, Alejandro Curvas won a $3,000 scholarship and Jack Quijada won an apprenticeship worth $15,000.  The awards were presented at a breakfast, March 19.   


Metro Tech’s Culinary Arts Chef Dean Wilberscheid spent hours on Saturdays working and practicing with the students, and attended many   C-CAP workshops   with the students all over the Valley.
