Three Trevor Browne teachers have been accepted to the Advanced Placement (AP) Fellows Program. The recipients are Tracey Clark (French), Amy Huss (Spanish) and Brisa Lagunas (Spanish). The College Board AP Fellows Program awards scholarships to secondary school teachers who teach AP or Pre-AP courses in schools that serve economically disadvantaged students or traditionally underrepresented minority students. College Board AP Fellow recipients receive a scholarship of $1,000 to attend an AP Summer Institute. Clark will attend the institute in San Diego. Huss and Lagunas will attend institutes in Tucson and Phoenix, respectively. AP Summer Institutes are subject-specific professional development opportunities that provide teachers with the support and training needed to teach AP courses.
