Seven Camelback DECA Students Medaled at DECA Career Development Conference

Seven Camelback DECA students medaled at the DECA Career Development Conference, March 5-6 in Phoenix and won free trips to Salt Lake City for the International event in April. Edward Garcia placed first in Professional Sales, and teamed with Valarie Villalobos to finish first in the Entrepreneurship Promotion Campaign event. Talisa Gallegos and Martin Corona were first in Business Operations. Autuan Woods, Jamar Pinnock, and Francisco Navarrette placed second in Business Operations. Aaron Doering placed second in International Business Plan, and third in Business Service Marketing. Julia Bourdo is the marketing teacher and DECA advisor. There were 1200 students present, with over 37 schools throughout the state of Arizona. These students will join over 14,000 students at the international competition in Utah. DECA is a student marketing and entrepreneurship organization.
