Local architect and longtime Camelback volunteer Jeff Stephens has really made his mark on Camelback Marketing, and the marketing club, DECA.  He teaches Toastmaster’s to the advanced marketing students the first semester and the program with a “Speak-Off” awards luncheon.   This year the event was at McCormick and Schmick’s Restaurant with over 125 students, staff, administration, judges, and guests in attendance.

Each year Stephens shows and tries on his vintage collection of hats from around the world to the senior advanced marketing class.  They discuss the history of the hats, the history of who wears them, and how they market their trade.

“The students have such a great time during this educational period and each student gets to try on this wonderful collection of hats,” Julia Bourdo said.  “Jeff is the volunteer of a lifetime for me.  He has been coming into my class for the past twenty plus years teaching Toastmaster to marketing students.”
