North High School’s M.E.Ch.A. Club is partnering with the Black Student Union and Tonatierra Community Development to present a documentary film of the 1960’s Freedom Riders and the Civil Rights movement in the Deep South, January 26 from 6-8 p.m. The free screening of the film is open to the public and will be held in the North Auditorium. The film, Freedom Riders, by filmmaker Stanley Nelson, is based on Raymond Arsenault’s book, Freedom Riders: 1961 and the Struggle for Racial Justice.
