Betty Fairfax: Soccer Player Brianna Boehm was named Phoenix Union Female of the Year for all PUHSD Schools

Soccer player Brianna Boehm was named the   Phoenix Union Female Athlete of the Year at the All-Phoenix Union Sports Awards, May 9.   She has been a multi-sport athlete, playing two years of Softball and four years of Varsity soccer where she was a three-year Captain.  Boehm won a Soccer Leadership Award and All-Academic Medal (w/ a 4.1 GPA) in her sophomore Year.  In addition, she was a member of the varsity football team, during her junior and senior years.  In her junior year she was awarded   Special Teams Player of the Year, as a kicker, and also All-Section 1st Team in Soccer.

She has worked hard in the classroom earning her way onto the Principal’s List as a freshman   an Academic Excellence Award letter winner  her sophomore year, and the National Honors Society in her junior and senior years.  She is active on campus joining Camp Uni-town during her sophomore year and volunteering on the hiring committee in the search for a soccer coach.

Boehm has decided to attend Ottawa University in Surprise on a soccer scholarship.  She will  major in biological sciences with a goal of becoming a nurse.
