Trevor Browne: Physical Education Department Club hosted the Torch May 5th

Trevor Browne Physical Education Department, the PEOPEL (Physical Education Opportunities Program for Exceptional Learners) Club, and the Trevor Browne Track Team hosted the torch as it moved its way for the opening of the Special Olympics Summer Games, May 5.


Over 1600 Special Olympics Athletes from across the state competed in sports ranging from traditional Special Olympics events to Unified® activities at Raymond S. Kellis High School in Glendale.


 The TGB Track Team, accompanied by Coach Robert Mika, joined law enforcement officers from across the state met at Desert Sky Mall and ran north up  75th Avenue to Trevor Browne.   Once on campus, the runners and torch came to the gym for a presentation by Special Olympic athlete Roxanne Johnson.
