Maryvale: Will conclude The 3 Part Series of Parent Training and Support

Posted by Communications on 4/5/2017

On April 11, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm we will conclude the 3-part series of our Parent Training and Support in collaboration with Raising Special Kids by discussing the transition from middle to high school. With feedback to RSK from Rachel Fenno and Teri Ritzert, Facilitators from Maryvale and North High School, RSK has graciously created a unique presentation for our students and families.

Dr. Gestson will be coming to welcome everyone and celebrate this pivotal time in a teenager’s life.

Phoenix Union’s Exceptional Student Services division is partnering with Raising Special Kids to host another Parent Training session for students and families,   February 21, at Maryvale High School, from 6-8 p.m.   The focus will be on different legal options and other transition-based supports families should consider when a child becomes an adult at age 18.  The April event will be about helping transition students from middle school to high school.
