Ruben Gameros (Class of 2008) was a guest speaker in the Trevor Browne Advanced Placement (AP) French class, January 20.   He earned his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from ASU in 2012 and is currently working towards his Ph.D. in Exploration Systems Engineering with an emphasis in Robotics. He anticipates finishing in December 2018. He said that because of his educational pursuits, he has been to 26 different countries in his 26 years of life. He has extensive knowledge in technology and that is why he was invited to speak to the class.  The class is currently in a Science and Technology unit with a focus on the future of technology. During his presentation today, he addressed the future of technology in three areas: manufacturing methods, maker movement and advances in robotics. Additionally, he discussed the potential positive and negative implications of these advancements in the world society.

"Shrek the Musical" is coming to Trevor Browne for the first time.  The TGB Theatre Department is performing its spring musical with live music, in collaboration with the school’s band and orchestra. The department was awarded $500 by Social Venture Partners of Arizona, which enabled instructor Megan Dallas to purchase sheet music for the challenging show, as well as to pay for a few professional instrumentalists to make up for the missing instrumental parts.  “Shrek the Musical” will be February 22, 23, and 24. Tickets are $7 at the door.
