Posted by Communications on 1/25/2017

Franklin will hold an Open House for prospective students, Saturday, January 28.  It is an opportunity to see the school, its programs and meet the teachers and students that make Franklin a unique and successful small school that earned a National Blue Ribbon School designation a couple years ago.  The school specializes in preparing students for careers in public safety, including law enforcement and firefighting.  For more information, contact the school at (602) 764-0200.

Franklin has been invited to participate in a National School Choice Week at the state capital, January 26.  The event includes a legislative luncheon with Governor Doug Ducey and state lawmakers.  Students and teachers will also be at the capital rose garden to showcase the unique and successful public safety high school.  The emphasis is on Arizona’s highest performing low-income public schools, who are making the fastest educational gains in the country.  Franklin is a National Blue Ribbon School and a Beat the Odds Gold School.  Besides its unique career-related programming in law enforcement and firefighting, it has been an “A” School since the state began assigning letter grades to schools.
