Eden Jenkins has been selected to participate in the Arizona Ivy League Project, joining 25 other Ivy League Project scholars from 14 different high schools. The two-year program includes a 2017 East Coast tour to visit Ivy League Universities such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Brown, Columbia, and other elite colleges. Students are expected to maintain a grade point average of at least 3.75 and attend a minimum of eight Saturday Leadership Sessions in the first year and at least five senior sessions throughout the remainder of the program. Eden, a junior with a 4.0 grade point average, who plays varsity volleyball and tennis, is the daughter of Fairfax Exceptional Students teacher Sandra Jenkins. During Saturday sessions students work on developing networking skills and oral communication skills. They will interact with fellow colleagues, professional role models, and be expected to read and respond to articles, books, and other material. Ivy League Project Scholars will gain access to Ivy League admission officers, Ivy League students and alumni.
