Sixty-Four Alhambra HS Seniors Earn Merit or Athletic Scholarships

Alhambra seniors were offered $2,699,364 in college scholarships. Barbara Olachea had offers from Dartmouth, Hollins, Williamette, Mount St. Mary’s and in-state schools totaling $562,000. Dartmouth was $264,000 for the Ivy League school in New Hampshire. Dulce Carreon earned $130,000 in offers, including a $66,000 Jerry Colangelo School of Business scholarship at Grand Canyon University. Yazmin Cabrera Ramirez tallied $112,000 as a National Hispanic Scholar finalist, and U of A National Scholar. Zarriea Willis, the Division I State Champion in the High Jump, has a $142,000 full ride to Texas Tech University. Jennifer Osuna was offered a combined $92,000 from the state universities. Sixty-four seniors earned merit or athletic scholarships.
