Its Graduation Season

Its graduation season, and Phoenix Union will have 15 schools holding ceremonies May 20-21. Eleven comprehensive high schools will hold back-to-back commencement exercises at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum beginning at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, and concluding with an 8:30 p.m. ceremony Thursday, May 21. Small schools will have graduations, Wednesday, May 20 at various locations.

At the Coliseum, Betty Fairfax will be the first, with a 10:30 a.m. graduation, followed by Central at 1 p.m.; Camelback at 3:30; North at 6 p.m. and South Mountain at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Metro Tech goes at 8 a.m., Maryvale 10:30; Alhambra, 1 p.m.; Trevor Browne, 3:30 p.m. Carl Hayden, 6 pm. and Cesar Chavez at 8:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, May 20, Franklin Police and Fire hold graduation at 3:30 p.m. at the Herberger Theatre, followed by Bioscience at 5:30 p.m. Bostrom will be a 6 p.m. at Trevor Browne High School’s auditorium, and Suns-Diamondbacks Education Academy will be at 7 p.m. at Central High’s auditorium. The Desiderata program had its own ceremony, May 19, but the students of the alternative program can also graduate with their home school.
