Over 40 Intel employees, family and friends partnered with seniors from the AVID program to volunteer at St. Mary’s Food Bank, May 2, in an effort to leave a positive impact in our local Phoenix community. The volunteer team worked in unison to pack Emergency Food Bags (EFB) which consisted of milk, cereal, concentrated juices, beans, spaghetti sauce, pasta, green vegetables, peanut butter and cranberry sauce. The team finished an hour ahead of schedule and yielded the following results: 15 pallets of EFBs for 810 food bags packed equaling 12,150 individual meals. CJ Perez, special education and AVID teacher led the effort.
