Central had two of the five players named to the Division I Boys Basketball All-State 2nd team--5-11 senior guard Obi Megwa, and 6-6 guard/forward Famoun Miller.  Megwa averaged 17 points and 4.2 assists a game.  Among the colleges interested in him are Redlands, New Mexico Highlands, Phoenix College, Mesa Community College. According to Coach Darren Bustos, Megwa will have more options this month when all of the universities sign their Division 1 recruits.  Miller averaged 16 points and 8 rebounds a game. He has garnered interest from some of the best junior colleges in the nation, and several Phoenix area  community colleges.  The Bobcats went 25-6 this past season, and gave undefeated Corona del Sol its toughest two games of the season, before falling to the Aztecs in the State Quarterfinals.  Corona eventually won another State Title, but in an Arizona Republic final ranking of every team in the state, Central was #2.
