Central Graduate Amy (Reed) Davila, Another Phoenix Union Success Story

Posted by Community Relations on 1/21/2015

Amy (Reed) Davila, who graduated from Central in 1997 is another Phoenix Union success story. She was one of Judy Mariahazy’s four-year traditional photography students who went on to get a degree in Forensics and became a forensics photographer for the Gila River Indian Community. During this time, she discovered that she missed the fine art aspect of her craft and enrolled at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Many of her photographs have been purchased by the tribe, her work has been exhibited with other artists from that community and, her first solo exhibit opened January 16 at the Huhugam Heritage Center in the Gila River community. It runs through April 17.
