Alhambra had 20 December graduates, the most ever according to Principal Claudio Coria. One student came in to pick up her diploma, January 14, and the front office had a well-deserved celebration. The student was from the 2011-12 class, and is an Iraqi female refugee. Although she earned her credits back in May, 2012, she was unable to graduate due to not passing AIMS math and reading. She persisted and year after year, she took both the AIMS and ACT exams until finally finding success.

“Talk about resilient. We get to work with the best students and thanks to our teachers and staff for creating a culture of support and success for all learners, especially for those who need us the most,” Coria said.
