Central High School really took the College Application Campaign to heart in November, as 431 12-graders completed at least one college application, for a 94% completion rate. There were 699 applications completed total, with Mariela Olivas Camacho completing the most. She won a tablet for her efforts. At a celebration assembly, five students won i-tune gift cards, another tablet, and Felisha Smith took home a 42-inch television. Central was one of ten schools in the District that participated in the College Application Campaign. In February, the school will host a FAFSA Fiesta for students and parents to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
