Phoenix Union Schools Want Taxpayers to Know About the Arizona Education Tax Credit

Phoenix Union Schools want taxpayers to know about the Arizona Education Tax Credit, which allows individuals to contribute to student programs and activities and receive a dollar-for dollar tax credit, if they donate by December 31, 2014.  Single taxpayers or a head of household can receive a credit of up to $200, and married couples filing jointly, can receive up to a $400 credit on their 2013 taxes. The tax credit is available to all taxpayers, not just those with children in public schools. This program has benefited thousands of Phoenix Union students over the years that might not otherwise have had the financial resources to participate in high school activities such as clubs, athletics, performing arts, field trips, or competitions.
