South Mountain Students Wins Awards at the a Youth Summit

South Mountain had five winners in the 2014 Arizona Teen Court Essay Contest, and another two students from partner and mentor middle schools were winners. Jazmin Martin placed first, winning $100. Eduardo Ramirez placed 4th, for $75, Kade Perry and Jasmine Armadillo were 7th and 8th respectively. Roosevelt Elementary students Man'soor Varnado from Dr. Bernard Black School was in 3rd Place and Julio C. Parra from Irene Lopez School placed 6th. The students received their awards at the a Youth Summit on November 14 at the Burton Barr Central Library.
