Falcon Robotics Team Wins Most Innovative STEM Club in an Urban Area Award

The Falcon Robotics team has won the category of Most Innovative STEM Club in an Urban Area and will be honored at the STEM Superhero Awards, November 12 at the Arizona Science Center. The event, presented by the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee and Freeport-McMoRan, had 49 Superhero finalists, including 31 STEM Teachers, Most Innovative STEM Club and Most Dedicated STEM Teacher. Two winners in each category will be announced. Prizes include merchandise and grant funding. 

“There are many outstanding teachers and activities across the state that demonstrate effective and innovative ways to spark student interest in STEM and to help them master science and math content, opening many educational and career doors for them,” said Tracy Bame, President of the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation.
