Five Camelback marketing and accounting students competed in the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge, October 31 at the Kierland Resort. It was the first time the school took part in this event, but out of 77 teams from around the state, one Spartan team finished in the top ten, and the four other teams finished in the top 25.  The students were given $500,000 to invest in the stock market and the competition simulated 60 days of trading.  Students created investment portfolios and analyzed market trends. Throughout the competition students received updates on world events and industry developments and evaluated how this would impact stock values and the market.
