Students and teachers from seven schools participated in a National STEM League Expo for Arizona High Schools, September 25, hosted by TEN80 Education and the Phoenix Convention Center. Ten80’s STEM League is an initiative that inspires students to engage in science, technology, engineering and mathematics through competition.  Students are invited to own their own business that specializes in racing, robotic exploration, energy technologies or innovations that emerge through the combination of hardware and software. Teams that attended the Expo will be invited to become sponsored teams this school year, hoping to compete in an Invitational in the spring. Franklin Police and Fire, South Mountain, Cesar Chavez, Trevor Browne, North, Betty Fairfax and Maryvale attended. South Mountain’s “Rocket Fast” won the Enterprise challenge to craft a one-minute pitch to sell an idea.
