17 PUHSD Students Medaled at AZ Skills USA Championships

Seventeen students medaled at the Arizona Skills USA Championships, April 15-16, and six gold medal winners are eligible for the National Championships in Kansas City, MO, June 23-28.  Gold medalists were: David Zamudio, Basic Automotive Service Technician; David Hernandez Haro, Computer Maintenance Technology; Du Vu and Nicholas Renteria, Human Robot Interaction; Elizabeth Padilla, Culinary Arts; Faisal Shakir (Alhambra), Technical Drafting.  Other medalists were Jose Romero Arias, a silver, and Jesus Orta, bronze in Collision Repair Technology, Martin Lopez (Alhambra), a bronze in Computer Maintenance Technology; Byron Sanchez, a silver in Job Interview and Karina Vargas/Jose Tanori/Arly Melendrez/Jorge Barrera/Liliana Gutierrez/Orlando Garcia/Diana Martinez, a silver in Opening and Closing Ceremony.
