Over 500 seniors visually displayed their high school career accomplishments and artifacts to teachers, family friends, community members, and judges at the 10th Annual Senior Portfolio Night, April 17 at Chase Field.   Because of the crowd, estimated at 6,000 attendees, it was the first time the event was held off-campus.  The stadium’s concourse held 134 tables, with student work displaying academics, extracurricular activities and community service.  Judges represented ASU, Phoenix College, Glendale Community College and Michigan State University.  Special guests included representatives from student programs such as Elevate Phoenix,  and Gateway Community College’s “Lift for Success,”  Cesar Chavez’ first principal, Dr. James McElroy and former PUHSD Assistant Superintendent Josephine Pete.

“This is an evening that bonds our students and families in anticipation of the exciting possibilities that lie ahead,” Principal Scott Gayman said.
