Posted by Community Relations Department on 4/16/2014

A new classroom building will be dedicated and the ribbon cut, Friday, April 18.  Three days later, students and teachers will occupy the beautiful facility.   The two-story, 51,000 square foot “400 Building” will house 27 classrooms, labs, an engineering workshop, a student fitness room, and community room.  The building is the final piece of the campus that opened in 2007.  Fairfax is introducing International Baccalaureate Career-related Certificate (IBCC)  classes in engineering, graphic design and business administration next year which will use this building.  The building was funded though the 2011 Construction Bond.  It was designed by Orcutt Winslow and built by CORE Construction.  When the original campus was built, infrastructure was put in place for this eventual expansion, which will bring Fairfax’ student capacity to 2500 students.
