Students had the opportunity to tour the C-SPAN Bus and learn about C-SPAN’s programs, resources and mission, March 11, when it stopped at Camelback.  Government classes and television classes learned about C-SPAN’s public affairs coverage and educational outreach, took touch-screen quizzes, saw its social media network of Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, YouTube, Tout, XM Radio and mobile apps in action, and checked out the HD cameras and production equipment which enables C-SPAN to produce public affairs programming aboard the bus.  C-SPAN was created by the cable TV industry and is broadcast in 100 million households.  Its newly designed website, C-SPAN.org, contains more than 200,000 hours of political and governmental footage dating back to 1987.
