South Mountain Boys Cross Country Won Doug Conley Invitational

South Mountain’s Boys Cross Country team won the Doug Conley Invitational race at Rolling Hills Golf Course, September 28.  Led by Daniel Frietz’ 3rd place overall finish, South scored 66 points, beating Salpointe (92) and Mesquite (104.)   Nido Janso placed 9th and Alan Ordonez was 11th overall, as the Jaguars five top runners finished in the top 25 places, out of 114 runners.   There were 17 boys varsity teams in the 41st running of the Doug Conley Invitational. The Jags are coached by Arizona Track Hall of Famer Dave Cruickshank and 1976 Olympic medalist Dwayne Evans.
