Bioscience, in partnership with the Evans Churchill Neighborhood Association will host a  TEDx event around the theme of Innovation on October 17.   The event will be 7-9 p.m. in the school’s Town Hall.   Bioscience has a part in the program, as a team of faculty, led by Principal Dr. Quintin Boyce, will present Cultivating Innovation: Transformative Education that Grows Critical Thinkers, Creative Problem-solvers and Compassionate Citizens.  A team of two students-Anayensi Almarez and Zie Weathers will discuss how innovative educational opportunities have paved the way for them to become agents of change for the community.

Class and clubs will also have the opportunity to display their work.

Created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading,” the TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.
