Bioscience Moves to One Principal

Posted by Community Relations Department on 6/5/2013

Dr. Quentin Boyce, who shared principal duties with Dr. DeeDee Falls this past year, becomes the fulltime principal for the acclaimed small school specializing in math and science.  Next year will be Boyce’s fifth year at the school and his 12th in public education.    Before his administration position, the 34-year old taught General Biology, Honors Biology and AP Biology at South Mountain High School for 3 years.  He began his teaching career in Atlanta, Georgia.  Boyce has also been an adjunct faculty member at South Mountain Community College for the last five years teaching Biology.

Born and raised in Chicago, Boyce earned his B.S. in biology, Masters in Secondary Education with a focus on science, and his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Supervision from ASU.

“Moving into next year my goal remains to help Bioscience realize our newly crafted “mision” (Mission and Vision) statement and also continue the steps necessary for Bioscience to become a professional development hub and demonstration school for our district, state, nation, and world.   We will also continue to be actively engaged in our greater community and provide unique learning opportunities tailored to student interest and community needs,” Boyce said.
