Camelback hosted Relay for Life for the fifth consecutive year, April 27-28, and broke a record, raising over $80,000 for the American Cancer Society in the all-night event.  There were 52 teams represented, including eight Camelback teams, six from Bioscience and four from Cesar Chavez.   Camelback welcomed 50 survivors and 15 Grand Club members, including librarian Erika Wimble, who raised over $1000.  The top fundraiser of the event was Camelback junior Maggie Walsh, who raised $3,000.

Governing Board member Ian Danley kicked off the event.  Special recognition goes to Math teacher and Student Government advisor Jennifer Peifer, who once again was the event chairman.  Other super volunteers included Camelback Student Government, JROTC and campus facility manager Ian White.
