PUHSD Superintendent to Deliver NALEO Keynote Address

Superintendent Dr. Kent P. Scribner will deliver the keynote address at a conference hosted by the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Educational Fund in collaboration with the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, January 18 in Austin, Texas,   The audience will consist of governing board members from school districts across Texas. In his remarks, Scribner will discuss both the White House Initiative and the many accomplishments associated with Phoenix Union’s transformation toward a culture of College and Career preparedness. He will conclude by facilitating a discussion among the governing board members regarding legislative and current affairs as well as solutions related to the education of Latinos in Texas and across the nation.  Scribner currently serves on the President’s Advisory Commission for Educational Excellence for Hispanics.
