Carl Hayden Culinary Art Students Visited Career Day

Consumer and Family Science teachers Jennifer McKay and Kandy Cordova took a group of Culinary Art 3-4 Students to a Career Day at the Double Tree Resort in Scottsdale, November 19. Students took a tour of the back of the house and resort grounds, had a fabulous lunch and met Chef Lee Hillson, Executive Sous Chef, at the Phoenician ( from Iron Chef on the Food Network) and Chef Michael Cairns, Executive Chef at the Montelucia. Both chefs are world renowned and are considered to be in the five percent of chefs in the world. They have cooked for presidents and other elites.
