Phoenix Union welcomed a delegation of six Chinese officials from Feicheng City, China, November 19. The group included a superintendent, three principals, an education supervisor and the vice mayor of the city. They met with PUHSD Superintendent Kent Scribner and Assistant Superintendent for Business and Finance Lorrie Drobny, and visited the Central High and Bioscience High campuses. Former principal T. J. Jenkins and teachers Sandor Lubisch, Crystal Gu and Ramona Howard began the relationship with Phoenix Union two summers ago, conducting professional development workshops with 160 Chinese teachers who teach English. The delegation also made stops in New York, Washington D.C., San Francisco and Canada.
