Mark's Café in Tempe hosted an all-you-can-eat Pasta Bar fundraiser benefiting North High School's Culinary Arts Program, November 7.

"I have sat on the advisory board for this education program for a couple of years, and know how important this education is to those taking these classes," says Mark's Cafe's owner, Chef Mark Vojtek. "The Culinary Arts program at North is taught by Mary Sarwark, one of our favorite regulars and someone who is very devoted to these children.  We have teamed up with Mary to help raise money so the kids will be able to take part in various culinary-related activities and trips. We currently employ two of the students at the cafe and have utilized many of them during big catering orders.  They are amazing, very gifted and we expect them to go far and do great things in the culinary world."

The $10 Pasta Bar donation included three all-you-can-eat pastas, salad and beverage. The students from the culinary program served guests and were able to share their course experiences and career ambitions with them.
