Fifteen Alhambra DECA students participated in the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge. The students were sponsored by Charles Schwab. Prior to the event, Schwab sent company representatives to the school to work with the class. Teams start with $500,000. They have 90 minutes to buy and sell selected stocks based on real world news and significant issues facing each company. The top 3 teams with the highest portfolio values receive trophies. Alhambra had one team in the top third (23rd out of 89 teams.)
