    Here are your daily announcements for Tuesday, October 15th 2019


       Today's weather report—

    It‘s a little cloudy today and is going to get up to about 97 degrees.

    It is going to cool down to about 72 degrees tonight.


    Congratulations to the Lady Lion's Badminton team.  They beat Shadow Ridge yesterday, 8-1. 

    Today they play Trevor Brown today at 4:00 in the South Gym. 

    It's senior night so come out and cheer on your favorite senior!!  Good luck Ladies!


    Alhambra Cross Country team races at Desert Edge High School today. Both boys and girls teams are favored to win the meet. Go Pride!



    The girls volleyball team has an away game today against Trevor Browne. We want to wish the team good luck.


    The boys golf team has a game today against Deer Valley. The game is at GCU so go on over after school to support the team.


    Spiritline will be having tryouts for the Basketball season on November 4th-6th.

    If you are are interested in trying out you must attend the mandatory meeting on Wednesday, October 30th. 


    Anyone interested in boys basketball please report to the south gym after school today at 3:15.

    You must be cleared by the athletics office in order to participate.



        Attention students: 

    If you are planning on going to the college event this Sunday, October 20th, you need to turn in your permission slip today in room 3001 with Ms. Monzon.

    Today is the last day to turn it in. So be sure to do it by today!


    Attention Adventure Club, we will be meeting Friday, October 18th after 9th hour instead of Thursday.  We will have a short meeting about our upcoming field trip on Thursday, October 25th

    Please turn in permission slips to Mr. Santilli in room 2022 no later than Friday, October 18th.  


    Attention sophomores! The Pre-ACT test is almost here!

    We will be testing on Thursday, October 17th. If you are a sophomore, make sure to arrive at 7:30 for breakfast and check in to your class.

    Check the library windows to see where you will be testing.

    It is important to take the Pre-ACT because it is a way to predict how ready you are for the ACT next year, and it will help you explore how your career aspirations align with your interests. Make sure to bring your ID to test. 

    You will not be able to test without an ID.  

    Mark your calendars and check out the posters around campus to remind you about your upcoming test!


    Let's give a shout out to the Robotics team!

    They have been making progress and have been invited to their first tournament in Flagstaff in March!

    The Resistance Network is selling t-shirts in the bookstore for only $20.

    So come by the bookstore, get a cool shirt, and support your campus Robotics team!


     Seniors: If you have not signed up for the Remind App in Counseling,

    please stop by to get signed up for important communications for the year.



    Want to learn how to enter a raffle for a scholarship? Want to attend our college event on October 20th?

    We'll learn about multiple out-of-state and in-state Universities and scholarships.

    Come to room 3001 and speak to Mrs. Monzon for a permission slip to attend and information about the raffle.

    Our next meeting is next week on Wednesday, October 23rd.

    This year the Homecoming dance is on Saturday October 26th, and it will be held in the South Gym from 7:00pm-11:00pm.

    Stop by the bookstore to buy your tickets for $20!

    Be sure to buy your tickets as soon as possible because there’s a limited amount.

    Let’s make this year’s homecoming a blast!!


    Hey Alhambra!

    Tonight is the Fall Guitar Concert, and you’re invited!

    The concert will feature the Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced, and Honors Guitar Ensembles as well as several soloists and duets.

    You will get to hear a wide variety of music from many genres including classical, rock, movie soundtrack, American folk, and Mexican folk music.

    The students have been working hard this semester and are excited to perform. Here are the details:


    When: Wednesday, October 16th @ 6:00pm

    Where: Alhambra Auditorium

    Cost: Free!
