I am passionate about helping others, lifelong learning, cultural diversity and guiding adolescents through high school on their journey towards adulthood. My philosophy of education and counseling is built upon the International Baccalaureate Program (IB) mission statement and the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model. IB “aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.” My counseling services are designed to meet the social/emotional, educational and career needs of all students through collaboration, leadership, advocacy, systemic change, professional development and accountability (ASCA). I have been a Mustang since 2003, first as the Exceptional Student counselor (4 years) and now as the IB counselor (11 years).
