Physical Science and Robotics
Mrs. Angela Groves
Degree: B.S. in Biology, Minor in Chemistry from USD
Hello! My name is Mrs. Groves and I am very excited to be teaching science at Trevor Browne High School! Students will be learning about Matter and Energy, Chemical Interactions, Motion, Forces and Waves, and Sound and Light. Throughout the year students will be working on becoming scientifically literate and to be able to develop and defend claims through Argument Driven Instruction. In addition, students will be exposed to the Core Values: Be Courageous, Be Compassionate, Be Conscious, Be Committed, Be Collaborative and Be Creative. My classroom is a bully-free zone and my expectation is that all students conduct themselves in a positive and respectuful manner.
In Robotics students will understand the significance of planning, designing and exploring in mechanical design. Students will be challenged to "think outside of the box" as they learn to solve problems and are able to apply their knowledge to real-world situations.
My goal is to help all students be successful and to learn vital skills that will help them in college, in their careers and in life!
