Subjects / Classes Taught: ESS/CBT Classroom
Degree(s): Bachelors in Special Education
I'm Linda Couch, and I teach Community Based Training (CBT) in classroom LA11A. Our focus is on the skills it takes to navigate within our society. My philosophy is that every student is able to learn, we just have to find the best way to reach them. In my classroom, respect is paramount, between staff and students, and peer to peer. No one has the right to interfere with anyone's learning. These two beliefs govern the expectations in class. Communication is a key ingredient whether it's between student and staff or teacher and parents. I am the faculty advisor for Best Buddies, a club where lifelong friendships are fostered. I have a bachelor's degree in Special Education from ASU and I'm presently working on my master's degree in Autism Spectrum Disorder at Grand Canyon University.
My office hours are before and after school, until 3:30.
