Completing work outside of class is essential to keeping pace in my classes as well as preparing for life outside of school. Being able to complete work on your own demonstrates mastery, gives you an opportunity to perform on your own and develops your ability to handle rigor in a society that increasingly expects more from its citizens to be successful. Once you finish high school and either move into the job market or into college, you will face many situations where you'll be tasked with a challenging assignment, given little direction and still be expected to deliver. My class is meant to prepare you for that.
